about me…
Hello!
I’m Rachel (she, her, hers), and I am an Occupational Therapist (OT) with over 15 years of experience. I am also a musician and have been singing/playing music since I was a child. I am a Nationally Board Certified Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) and also a Certified Ergonomic Assessment Specialist (CEAS-I).
I live on the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains with my husband and dog and I love to adventure when I have the opportunity.
why this work?
Ergonomic Consultation/Assessment:
Many individuals find themselves in sedentary or awkward positions for long periods of time during an average workday. This can lead to discomfort, decreased productivity, and poor work satisfaction. My goal is to provide consultation services and education to individuals so that they may feel empowered to care for their body while they work and to prevent injury and discomfort.
Ergonomic Consultation for the Artist:
One of the most underserved occupations in the U.S., Artists are rarely provided opportunities for self-care, ergonomic education/training, and injury prevention. This includes those that work behind the scenes to support the Artist/s. Combining my expertise in Occupational Therapy and Ergonomic Consultation with my love and respect for artists creates an opportunity for me to help those who provide the beating heart of the world through music, art, and movement.
“…but what if i’m not an artist?”
I believe we are all artists in our own way.
What I truly love is helping individuals prevent injury and care for their bodies while doing what they love.
So, yes, I work with all folx!
